Salerno fest in Italy hosting Iranian film ‘Staging’

The 75th edition of the Salerno International Film Festival in Italy has been screening Iranian film ‘Staging’.

Written and directed by Alireza Samadi, the social drama is about Asad, a criminal who simulates fake accident scenes along with his friends and then asks the insurance firms to compensate for the loss.

The cast list of the movie includes Bahram Afshari, Payam Ahmadinia, Linda Kiani, Mohammad Naderi, Farzaneh Soheili, Majid Salehi, Omid Rouhani, Siamak Adib, Atash Taqipour, Hamid-Reza Naeemi, and Mahtab Keramati.

The Salerno Film Festival was launched in 1945 with the aim of promoting culture through cinema.

The 2021 edition of the event is being held on November 22-27.
